The Journey Begins with a Single Square

My goal for this project is to get 100 quilts on my walls! They can be "real" ones that I've sewn or quilt block paintings on canvas. No, I don't have a large house. And yes I think having 100 quilt-related pieces on my walls may be excessive, but that's what makes it fun! I wanted to open my Etsy shop , but figured I should have 100 pieces of inventory first.So that became my goal!

The first two days I painted six 12x12 canvas quilt blocks. I hung the first four above the window in my living room.

Here they are!

And here's the very first one I painted. I thought I'd use blue painters tape to get nice straight lines, but the paint seeped under the edges and it just didn't look good. So I used a flat brush and just freehanded all those nice straight lines.

The other two painted blocks are hanging by the desk, I'll get a picture of those later.

So this is the beginning of my journey! Six down, 94 to go! Stay tuned for a how-to tutorial if you want to try making your own.
